If we have one on one conversations with each Wye Assistant then we’ll strengthen our relationships with them and be able to share more about the purpose of the Network and their role within it and thereby improve the flow of communication within the network.

–We will call the assistants and ask about their ideas around being better engaged in the Wye Network.
How many assistants are we able to meet with? (what percentage of total reached out to?) Goal is to meet with 90% of assistants.
Track in google doc highlevel notes from each assistant conversation.
Do they have substantive feedback/ideas? (yes/no for each assistant)
Prepping the assistants with either Wye River materials, videos prior to engaging them is crucial to give a frame for the discussion.
Assistants are action oriented and loyal to their principals. They need to see how these conversations fit into making their principal happy.
It’s important to not assume the assistants have agency over their work, it could be helpful to bring in the principal’s beforehand.
Power dynamics and willingness to be open and transparent varied. It is unclear the best way to navigate this.
